Electric Vehicle Road Trip begins 25th April in London

12th April 2017

We’ve partnered with Europe EVRT to help promote electric vehicles and boost knowledge of low-carbon technology all over Europe. The EVRT is an electric vehicle road trip with a difference. Not only are all of the cars taking part 100% electric, the whole event focuses on engaging people on the road and at conferences to make them more confident in their knowledge about EVs and sustainable transport. The overarching aim is to demonstrate just how capable the latest electric cars are, and to blow-away any myths or misconceptions about their range and how far they can now travel; ultimately improving awareness, understanding and accelerating electric vehicle adoption.

The road trip will cover 6,500 km, travelling through 10 cities in 12 countries across Europe and takes place from 25th April to 10th May, with the first event happening in London on the 25th.  The E-mobility Conference will cover everything from the future of clean transport in London, to the economics of EVs and building the business case for electric vehicles. Guest speakers include representatives from Uber, Formula E and the Energy Saving Trust, as well as FullyCharged’s Robert Llewellyn as host for the day. You can see the full agenda for the event and buy tickets here.

After the London event, the road trip will visit Madrid, Turin, Zagreb, Berlin, and Paris, with conferences, workshops and factory visits taking place in these cities.

You can follow the whole thing or get involved in the conversation on social media using the hashtag #EVRT. We’ll be posting updates throughout.

Bringing Evolution to Brands Hatch

10th April 2017

Recently, we helped bring an electrifying atmosphere to Brands Hatch for the first weekend of the British Touring Car Championship, as we joined forces with Evolution Motor Shows to give visitors a closer look at electric vehicles.

All eight of the manufacturers involved in Go Ultra Low were on hand with experts and cars, as well as offering free test drives on a section of the Brands Hatch track.

People were also able to talk to members of the team to find out more about what life is like with an electric car. We shared info, including insight from members of our Owners’ Club, on range, the cost-saving benefits and ease of charging on the go. Check out a few photos from the event below.
