UK business is embracing an electric future, as new figures show that the Go Ultra Low Companies initiative now has over 100 members signed up. OVO Energy, Oxford City Council, Swansea University, Santander UK and Gatwick Airport are just some of the companies committing to introducing electric vehicles to their fleets.
Great news for electric vehicle owners in the capital – Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, has announced that there will be 1,500 new electric vehicle chargepoints installed across the city.
The £4.5m investment, which is part of the Government’s Go Ultra Low Cities programme, and is being delivered by London Councils, TfL and Mayor of London, will initially span across 25 different London boroughs, with the aim of making electric vehicles an easier and more practical option for Londoners.
