NEDC is the Official European fuel efficiency test. All vehicle manufacturers follow standardised test procedures for mpg and CO₂ as set out by European law. These standardised tests enable motorists to benchmark models for comparison purposes only and therefore make informed purchasing decisions. All figures quoted may not reflect real driving results; please bear in mind that you may achieve very different results in real life.

WLTP is the new test cycle launched in the UK in 2017 and applies to new cars type approved after September 1st. The new procedure is designed to give consumers a more accurate range and CO2 figure. However, due to the low number of cars currently tested under WLTP, we are required, by law, to quote both NEDC and WLTP range figures to enable consumers to make comparisons between cars. Real world fuel efficiency results will be affected by factors such as driving style, load carried and vehicle maintenance, along with traffic, weather and road conditions. These results are not currently standardised across manufacturers.
