Choose your electric car

Find your perfect EV with our Car Selector

There are now more than 30 pure electric or plug-in hybrid cars and vans available from ‘Go Ultra Low’ manufacturers’. Our Car Selector lets you choose by how the vehicle is powered, seating and boot capacity, and manufacturer.

Pure Electric – high performance batteries are used to provide power to an electric motor, which in-turn drives the wheels. These vehicles need to be charged.

Plug-in Hybrid (PHEVs) – a highly efficient petrol or diesel engine mated with an electric motor and batteries. This enables a range of hundreds of miles using the internal combustion engine, with the ability to run on electric-only at lower speeds or for local journeys; or a combination of both.

Range-extended Electric – as per pure electric cars, these only ever run on electricity. However, they also have a small petrol engine that acts as a generator to top-up the battery charge and hence extend the car’s overall range.

Fuel Cell – like a pure electric vehicle, these use electricity to power a motor which drives the wheels. However, instead of a battery, a fuel cell stack uses hydrogen to produce electricity which then powers the car.

* Prices listed are manufacturer recommended retail prices minus relevant plug-in grants for eligible vehicles. All prices exclude monthly battery leasing costs where applicable.

** Manufacturer’s figures may not reflect real world driving – actual range may vary as a result of driving mode and style, additional electricity using equipment, load/number of passengers, outside temperature, terrain and other factors. Official EU range figure not yet available – please consult your local retailer for further information

Our Car Selector includes models available from the Go Ultra Low manufacturers only. For a full list of electric cars and vans that are eligible for the Government plug-in car grant, click here.

NEDC is the Official European fuel efficiency test. All vehicle manufacturers follow standardised test procedures for mpg and CO₂ as set out by European law. These standardised tests enable motorists to benchmark models for comparison purposes only and therefore make informed purchasing decisions. All figures quoted may not reflect real driving results; please bear in mind that you may achieve very different results in real life.

WLTP is the new test cycle launched in the UK in 2017 and applies to new cars type approved after September 1st. The new procedure is designed to give consumers a more accurate range and CO2 figure. However, due to the low number of cars currently tested under WLTP, we are required, by law, to quote both NEDC and WLTP range figures to enable consumers to make comparisons between cars. For more information about WLTP and what it means, read our latest blog here.

Real world fuel efficiency results will be affected by factors such as driving style, load carried and vehicle maintenance, along with traffic, weather and road conditions. These results are not currently standardised across manufacturers.
